Summer Jam Sessions
Summer Jam Sessions is an opportunity to deepen our community and maintain support for our makers while taking a break from the focused structure of our Working Titles gatherings.
Once each June, July, and August, we gather on the beautiful roof of Quontic Bank Astoria for food, drinks, congregation and co-creation.
How does it work?
Inspired by Quaker Meetings, Summer Jams is focused on congregation and deepening the community. But we still want people to share their work. So, throughout the night, makers can share whenever the creative spirit moves them! After work is shared, the community can respond using the first step in the Liz Lerman Process.
What defines a Working Title?
Absolutely anything that you are crafting, molding, shaping and creating. This can range from an idea to a fully realized work in any possible medium.
What is the first step of the Liz Lerman Critical Response Process?
Responders state what was meaningful, evocative, interesting, exciting, and/or striking in the work they have just witnessed.
